Day 1
Day 1: Legendary Lifesaver
Sign Up for First Aid and CPR Training
This no-brainer prep step will give you skills to treat injuries while you await help from first responders. Great CPR training involves an experienced instructor and a hands-on test of your skills. If you have cash to spend, the
American Red Cross
is a great resource for top-notch instruction at your earliest convenience.
For lower cost options, check your local fire departments, libraries, and community colleges for a class or petition your workplace to sponsor your certification (your lifesaving skills could benefit them).
If you don’t have cash on hand or a workplace you can exploit, don’t give up! If you’re truly unable to afford certification, it’s still worth learning the basics.
American Red Cross has YouTube videos that can teach you everything you’ll need to know in an emergency, even if you don’t get certified.
Register for a CPR & First Aid class or watch videos for the basics
